Keep In Mind
The base of the structure must be less than 18 in length. If you have an idea for a larger structure, give us a call at (612) 871-2211 or send an email to Max Stevenson: mstevenson@norwayhouse.org.
Though there are no rules on how much of your structure is edible, adjudicators and visitors are admittedly partial to the hand-baked elements of your work. The more edible it is, the more impressive it is! (Minus light decorations and the baseboard, of course!)
Schedule A Drop-off
Tell us when you’d like to drop off your structure. Appointments are available below.
Adjudication
Judging will take place at the opening of the exhibit. Winners will be featured in various local publications and used in marketing for the exhibit. Judges vote on the following categories, with new categories added depending on the overall pool of contestants:
Best of Minnesota
Best International
Most Creative
Most “Koselig” (Cozy)
Best Amateur Baker
Best Professional Baker
People’s Choice
Public voting will take place throughout the run of the exhibit, concluding on December 21, 2023. Visitors are asked to vote for their favorite Adult entry and their favorite Family & Youth Structure. The top five in each category will be put into a drawing for the Grand Prizes. Prizes will be announced via email and social media on Christmas Eve, December 24.
