Norway House: A bridge to contemporary Norway

The Building Project

The Building Project

Imagine a place in Minnesota where all things Norwegian are located, embraced and cultivated.   That dream began to materialize in 2004 when a group of inspired Norwegian-Americans perceived such a need and founded Norway House with a mission to partner with individuals, other organizations, and businesses in the Norwegian American community. Norway House would serve as a convener calling others together for a common goal, as a collaborator helping others achieve success, and as a platform, a multi-purpose building to serve as a place to conduct Norwegian-American activities.

With that dream in mind, Norway House is proud to announce the launch the Norway House Building Project and Capital Campaign – an endeavor to build a physical Norway House, designed to bring people together to celebrate all things Norway.

As an office and conference/event facility, Norway House will:

  • Provide space appropriate for meetings, performances, casual gatherings, dining, lectures, exhibits, learning, and ceremonies
  • Provide Space for programming in the areas of art, music, design, business, science, technology, education, peace relations, environment, culture, and heritage
  • Be located in Minneapolis, in an easily accessible location
  • Be a ‘green facility’
  • Be of distinctive contemporary architectural design

You can help build the Norway House!
Donations of all levels are needed, and there are a variety ways you can honor your family members and share your legacy.

Interested in pledging to the capital campaign, or creating a legacy plaque to be displayed in the new Norway House building?
