Vappu at Norway House

Calling all members and friends of the Finnish / Nordic Chambers of Commerce to join us for the annual Vappu Day celebration! Entertainment will include a one-hour long hypnotist show and a sauna in the parking lot.

In celebration of Vappu, FACC-MN and Norway House will be hosting the StokeYard Sauna during FACC-MN's Vappu May Day Party. Join us on the bench for one of four, one hour-long, sauna sessions throughout the day (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM | 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM | 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM | 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM). Our sauna can only seat up to 7 people at a time, so get your spot on the bench early!

What is Vappu?

May 1st is celebrated both by workers and university students as it marks the beginning of spring and the conclusion of Finland’s academic year. This popular holiday is often celebrated with carnival-style games, food, and drink. Ylioppilaslakki, or the white hat given to students after completing upper-secondary school, is a visible symbol of the raucous celebratory day!
