In it’s 42nd year, the Nordic Ball has been an annual tradition of the Nordic Folk Music and Dance communities in the Twin Cities, Minnesota since 1977. The different dance groups in the Twin Cities take turns hosting, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and Finnish – this year it is up to the Norwegians!

Explore St. Paul in the 1930s, when gangsters ran the city and held influence over city officials. Meet at noon for this two-hour bus tour taking you through the St. Paul neighborhoods where John Dillinger, Ma Barker, and Babyface Nelson, among others, made their living. Your guide? A blast from the past nefarious gangster or his moll... Optional lunch following the tour at DeGideo's on West 7th Street - another notorious mobster hangout at the time.

Unite with the Norwegian Consulate at the Minnesota United game as the Loons take on Norway's own Jo Inge Berget and New York City FC on Saturday, September 29. We’ll grab food and beers at Surly Brewing before the game starts at 7:00pm. Great event for the whole family, and friends of Norway House and the Consulate receive a special group rate of only $30.

Explore the newly restored Minnesota State Capitol with a Capitol historian. Get the inside scoop on the 3+ year restoration project as you visit some of the nooks and crannies and lesser known parts of the Capitol. Climb to the roof to see the Quadriga Statue at the base of the dome. Visit the offices of Senator Greg Clausen and Representative Jim Erdahl. An optional activity following the tour: head to W. A. Frost for mid-afternoon refreshments.
