Norway House is honored to welcome Ivar Geithung and Johnny Pederson who are Norway's preeminent experts on the brewing traditions of the oldest beer yeast in the world, kveik.
Geithung and Pedersen will share their depth of knowledge on the history, science, culture, and important heritage of this unique beer made with a 1,000 year-old strain of yeast, originating from the Viking era.
Come to Norway House for an afternoon of mingling with beer aficionados including Geithung, Pedersen, Minnesota brewers, and specialty beer fans.
Fresh Kveik beer will be shared in the spirit of its ancestral roots from 3:00-6:00 pm. Around 5:00 pm, the official presentation will begin followed by an informal Q&A with attendees.
