Dugnad: Phillips Community Clean Sweep

  • Norway House 913 East Franklin Avenue Minneapolis United States (map)

Fall is a great time for a “dugnad,” or a volunteer community clean up event. Join us, meet our neighbors, and enjoy a free lunch afterwards for the 20th annual Phillips Community Clean Sweep!

Norway House invites volunteers to help us clean up around the "Norway Block" in the morning and cap it off with a neighborhood fair in a nearby park, complete with free lunch for all volunteers.

All cleaning supplies (bags, gloves, and trash grabbers) are provided by the neighborhood.

Schedule:

9:00am–9:30am: Gather at Norway House for coffee while Norway House staff pick up supplies and light breakfast from the nearby staging area.

9:30am–12:00pm: Pick up litter on the blocks surrounding Norway House and Mindekirken. Leave bags of litter on street corners for garbage trucks to pick up.

12:00pm: Complimentary lunch & Resource Fair at a local park.
