Cabbage Classics: Ireland Meets Norway

  • Norway House 913 East Franklin Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55404 United States (map)

Join us for a delicious cross-cultural cooking experience where two iconic cabbage dishes take center stage! In this semi-hands-on class, we’ll pair Ireland’s traditional bacon and cabbage—tender cabbage, savory bacon, and delicious parsley sauce—with Norway’s creamy cabbage rolls filled with hearty flavors. At the end of class, students will eat hearty samples of both dishes and will get suggestions for side dishes and accompaniments.

We’ll explore the history, comfort, and clever simplicity behind each recipe, learning how different cultures transform the same humble ingredient into something uniquely satisfying.

Come for the food, stay for the stories, and leave with two new cozy favorites to bring to your own kitchen table! Adults only, please. Student maximum is 10.
