Crowning the North: A tour of the Mia exhibit for Norway House members

Norway House members are invited for a reception and docent-led tour of the new Mia exhibit: Crowning the North. Free to members. RSVP

Norway House members are invited to join the Friends of Mia (the Minneapolis Institute of Art) for a private tour of Crowning the North: SilverTreasures from Bergen, Norway on Friday, February 6th.

We will meet at the reception desk in Mia’s foyer at 10am and proceed to the Friends
office for coffee, tea and conversation. A staff person from Norway House will be there to greet you.

At 11am, participants will be given a private tour of the Crowning the North
exhibit. The exhibition explores the art of the Bergen silversmiths from the
16th to the early 20th century. Approximately 150 objects ranging from
spoons to wedding crowns are on loan from public and private Norwegian
collections.

This event is free to Norway House members. The group is limited to 15 people, so please rsvp quickly if you would like to be part of this exceptional tour.
