Lefse class with Heidi Eger

  • Norway House 913 East Franklin Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55404 United States (map)

Learn to make potato lefse, a lovely soft flatbread. It's a traditional part of Norwegian Advent and Christmas, but is delicious all year round. Heidi Eger will share her grandmother's recipe, along with a wealth of information on best practices - including insights on what potatoes to use for what end result - and help for when a sheet of lefse is less-than-perfect. Making lefse, whether alone or as a family project, can be fun. With Heidi's recipe and techniques, it will be.

(We’d like to note that Heidi’s lefse is fit for a Crown Prince. He sampled the lefse she was making at the Vesterheim during his visit and approved of it.)

This is a hands-on class and people will be sharing the lefse they've made. If you have long hair, please bring something with which you can tie it back.

Please note: Norway House does not offer refunds. If you aren't able to attend on the day for which you bought a ticket, you may give your place in class to another person.

$45 General Admission $40 Norway House members
