Nordic music and pop-up dance with Kari Tauring and Sarah Pradt

Our musical guest this month is Sarah Pradt of the Twin Cities Hardingfelelag! Join Kari and Sarah for Norwegian dances and dance tunes. They will highlight Setesdal gangar, a slow and lovely dance that everyone can do.

This dance and music from Setesdal, Norway was just designated a UNESCO intangible cultural treasure. It is a favorite dance of the Twin Cities Nordic Dancers and will be featured at this year’s Nordic Ball at the Ukrainian American Center on Saturday, March 28.

This is your chance to practice the gangar mixer and other great dances from the Nordic countries before the ball!
