Vikre Distillery Holiday Cocktail Class featuring the Northwoods Negroni and Snowbird Aquavit Punch
Join us at the Norway House to learn how to make two easy and festive cocktails for your holiday gatherings! The Northwoods Negroni: is a simple, yet complex cocktail combining gin, sweet vermouth, and campari. In the "Northwoods" version, we use woodsy, sauna-esque Boreal Cedar Gin and warmly spice Amaro Superiore from Vikre Distillery of Duluth, MN. We will also learn how to make an irresistible Aquavit punch featuring Ovrevann Aquavit, Amaro Superiore, and tropical juices - a sure crowd pleaser!
In this class, Ellen from Vikre will teach about the distillery and their award winning gins, aquavit, and liqueurs and their applications in cocktails. Guests will be invited to sample gins, aquavits, and liqueurs and will make their own Northwoods Negroni and Snowbird punch to enjoy. We will also learn how to make scaled-up batches of the cocktails for holiday gatherings!
Nibbles of suggested food pairings will be provided.
At the end of class, you have the opportunity to order Vikre products for a special discount for class participants. You can pick your orders up at Zipp's Liquors in south Minneapolis.
