Part-Time Assistant to Program Coordinator
Job Overview
Norway House is seeking a creative, organized, and flexible Assistant to help in the day-to-day communication necessities of our growing nonprofit business and cultural center.
The Assistant will develop and implement social media strategies to increase our online presence, build brand awareness, and improve our member and constituent communication efforts. Our ideal candidate has an interest and passion in global citizenship and community building; is a clear, imaginative, and concise writer; works well with a team; has unique experiences in the fields of communication, PR, design, and/or marketing; has an eye for details; and can organize and implement a variety of communications across all departments of the organization.
Organizational Structure
The Coordinator will assist in communications primarily for classes and programs, with some additional work related to Membership, Development, Operations, Capital Campaign, Gallery, and Events & Volunteers. To achieve its mission, Norway House has various programming initiatives with steering committees, including the Minnesota Peace Initiative, the Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota, and The Business and Resource Network (BARN). Maintaining the events calendar and marketing the programs at Norway House will be a large portion of the Coordinator’s work.

Non-Exempt, hourly
Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)
