Cookbook author Lee Dean teaches you three holiday cookies that take a bit of skill to make but reward you with rich flavor: Norwegian Sandbakkel, Coconut Cakes, Kourabiedes (Greek Christmas Cookies with almond liqueur flavoring). This is a hands-on class. If you hair is long, please bring something with which to tie your hair back. Aprons will be supplied.

Lee is the co-author of The Great Minnesota Cookie Book , Ultimate Minnesota Cookie Book, and Kitchens of Hope, as well at the longtime editor of the Taste section of the Minnesota Star Tribune. After fifteen years of judging the Star Tribune Christmas Cookie Contest, she has opinions on what makes a good cookie. She shares three trusted cookie recipes that will add flavor and appeal to your holiday baking. Each of these cookies is a more than its ingredient list; all three require a bit of skill in construction. After this class, you can approach baking them with confidence.

Lee's cookbooks are for sale at Ingebretsen's Also in the Norway House. You are welcome to bring a book to class for Lee to sign.

Please note: Norway House does not issue refunds. If you are unable to attend a class for which you registered, you can give your seat in class to another person.

$35 for Norway House Members/ $40 for General Admission
